A Case of Osseous Sporotrichosis

Abstract
|

|
Sporotrichosis affects primarily the skin and subcutaneous tissue with lymphatic pathway and rarely bone, and is caused by the dimorphic fungal organism Sporothrix schenckii. We ;,experienced a case of chronic osseous sporotrichosis associated with localized cutaneous sporotrichosis along to the lymphatic channel on the anterior and posterior surfaces of right forearm. Treatment was multiple debridement, oral administration of saturated potassium. iodide solution and antibiotics. After such treatment for 2.5 monthes,we obtained a satisfactory result.
